<p>Medica's Medical Policy Oversight Team Coordinator will work within Medica's Utilization Management (UM) Operations team and will be responsible for transcribing, creating, and maintaining documents within the department. This includes accurately preparing and completing all necessary written provider notifications, committee documentation and internal reporting in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.</p> <p>This role manages committees and related internal meetings, including scheduling, creating agendas and meeting materials. This role works with document maintenance and organization of the team's policy work. In addition, this role works directly with our clinical team to ensure written documentation is accurately composed and saved in team files. The coordinator will also use knowledge of Medical Policy Oversight Team processes and policies to accurately assist internal team members.</p> <p>This position requires that the individual be able to apply excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpret and summarize medical language, and prioritize responsibilities to meet regulatory turnaround time.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, equivalent combination of education and work experience </li><li>3+ years of relevant experience working in Microsoft Office including creation of professional documents, document maintenance and scheduling in Outlook </li><li>Experience in developing, editing, or formatting professional documents </li><li>Healthcare experience required </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate level of experience using Word and Excel </li><li>Ability to manage multiple systems/software applications </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of basic medical terminology </li><li>Excellent written/verbal communication </li><li>Excellent interpersonal customer service skills </li><li>Strong grammar and punctuation skills </li><li>Ability to analyze and summarize information </li><li>Work autonomously with minimal supervision </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency </li><li>Works well under pressure to meet deadlines </li><li>Excellent planning and organizational skills </li><li>Flexibility in handling changes in work assignments and environment </li></ul> <p>This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.</p> <p>The full salary range for this position is $40,500 - $69,400. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
