This field-based role focuses on coordinating medical care, collaborating with providers and employers, and supporting safe, timely return-to-work outcomes. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in the field.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Independently assess injured workers' medical conditions and develop coordinated treatment plans</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with physicians, therapists, employers, and insurance representatives</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and attend medical appointments as needed throughout San Francisco and nearby areas</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison and advocate for injured workers throughout recovery</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend job duty modifications based on medical restrictions and functional assessments</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret and explain medical instructions to injured workers to ensure understanding and compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with workers' compensation regulations, HIPAA, and company policies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain timely, accurate documentation and monthly progress reports</p> </li><li> <p>Exercise independent clinical judgment on complex or evolving cases</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in client meetings, account in-services, and occasional industry events</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California or compact-eligible)</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience in case management (workers' compensation preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, occupational health, or workers' comp settings</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently in a field-based environment</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with California workers' compensation regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Experience coordinating care across multiple providers</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join VONA</p> <p>At VONA, we are passionate about making a difference in workers' compensation.
