<p>LINCOLN - SUDBURY REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 390 LINCOLN ROAD SUDBURY, MA 01776</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR</p> <p>JOB POSTING</p> <p>Title: Long-Term Substitute Chemistry Teacher (1.0 FTE)</p> <p>Position Summary: Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a Long-Term Substitute Chemistry Teacher to cover a leave of absence effective immediately through the close of the 2024-2025 school year.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Teach Chemistry courses, as assigned (3 Honors and 1 College Preparatory) </li><li>Meet the goals of the assigned courses and the overarching goals of the Science Department and the school </li><li>Plan lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students </li><li>Create a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior </li><li>Provide timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed </li><li>Communicate with parents to discuss student progress, as needed </li><li>Cooperate with other professional staff in supporting student learning </li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science Department and throughout the school </li><li>Attend faculty meetings, department meetings, professional development opportunities provided by the school, and IEP and 504 meetings </li><li>Fulfill other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from an accredited college or university </li><li>Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Chemistry 8-12 or General Science 8-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement </li></ul> <p>Experience Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>3 + years in an educational teaching environment </li><li>High School teaching experience </li></ul> <p>Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
