In this upbeat position, you'll be responsible for maintaining the arena's security, cleanliness, and equipment, all while gaining valuable skills in ice operations. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you!</p> <p>This position requires indoor and outdoor work, under all types of weather conditions.  </p> <p>Scheduled shifts include evenings and weekends; up to 24 hours per Week </p> <p>Position Open Until Filled</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining order in the Civic Arena </li><li>Responsible for prevention of damage to the building and equipment, such as light fixtures, doors, windows, vending machines, pay phones </li><li>Responsible for checking on the ice making machinery and taking log readings at the appropriate times </li><li>Drive the resurfacer during the scheduled ice making times </li><li>In charge of cleanliness of the Civic Arena during assigned shift and at the end of night </li><li>Assist concession stand worker in any possible way such as getting supplies, extra change and repair of machinery </li><li>Provide cleaning and building supplies request forms to supervisor </li><li>Pick up trash outside the building and grounds </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Previous experience and knowledge of mechanical equipment and repairs </li><li>Previous experience sharpening skates </li><li>Two years' experience driving a resurfacer </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear and write </li><li>Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision and peripheral vision </li><li>Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds </li><li>The employee may occasionally climb a ladder, operate a lift, and operate a vehicle with multiple hand and foot operations </li><li>Must have the ability to walk on the ice surface </li><li>Must be able to perform all essential position functions under the working conditions as described </li><li>Must be self-motivated and a hard-working individual </li></ul> <p>Located in the Twin Cities metro area, Eagan is home to about 68,000 people.
