<p>Position Summary</p> <p>A high-acuity regional hospital in the greater Nashville area is seeking a Director of Emergency Services to lead operations for its busy Emergency Department. This facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center and is recognized nationally for excellence in emergency, stroke, and cardiovascular care.</p> <p>The Director will oversee day-to-day operations of the emergency department, manage departmental budgets, and lead a large and collaborative team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Quality & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Champion evidence-based practices that elevate clinical outcomes </li><li>Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards </li><li>Optimize patient throughput and implement care coordination improvements </li><li>Promote accountability and transparency in clinical operations </li></ul> <p>Operations & Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead emergency services with support from a strong management team </li><li>Drive staff engagement and build a culture of excellence and accountability </li><li>Collaborate across departments to deliver coordinated care </li><li>Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of emergency services </li></ul> <p>Patient Experience</p> <ul> <li>Lead initiatives to improve the patient and family experience </li><li>Utilize patient feedback to guide measurable improvements </li><li>Foster a service-oriented environment across all touchpoints </li></ul> <p>People Management</p> <ul> <li>Recruit, train, and retain high-performing clinical staff </li><li>Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing and management teams </li><li>Align staffing and scheduling to support quality patient care </li></ul> <p>Finance & Strategy</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage operational budgets </li><li>Monitor departmental performance and identify cost-saving opportunities </li><li>Participate in growth planning and service line expansion </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to lead in complex, fast-paced healthcare settings </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred </li><li>Active RN license (or ability to obtain in TN) </li><li>3+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume Emergency Department </li><li>Level I or Level II Trauma experience required </li></ul>
