Find your future with us.</p> <p>The Boeing Company is looking for a Transmission Mechanic B that is located in Ridley Park, PA.</p> <p>Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform the mechanical work required to prepare for and test the functionality of transmissions, rotor hubs, swashplates, vertical shafts and related accessory components</p> </li><li> <p>Responsibilities include assembling, installing, removing and disassembling parts and components in support of testing procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Setup and perform test procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Install and remove transmissions, rotor hubs, swashplates, shafts and their supplementary components to and from test stands</p> </li><li> <p>Modify and/or adjust components and test equipment to meet the requirements of the designated test setup</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect units and record test data</p> </li><li> <p>Follow procedures to replace required parts, and reassemble units to specified configuration(s)</p> </li><li> <p>Perform touch-up painting as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Move assemblies within and between work areas</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain timely and accurate records</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all work in accordance with prints specifications, planning, other specified documents, or oral instructions, and in accordance with Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practice</p> </li></ul> <p>Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:</p> <p>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee</p> <p>Basic Qualification (Required):</p> <ul> <li>2 or more years of experience with assembly, rework, and repair of Transmissions (Automotive, Rotorcraft, Aerospace, or equivalent) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working with transmissions in the aerospace field.</p> </li><li> <p>Formal vocational training/Education</p> </li></ul> <p>Shift:</p> <p>1st Shift</p> <p>Typical Education/Experience:</p> <p>High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training</p> <p>Relocation</p> <p>This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
