<p>Position Summary: Supervises all activities related to the day to day operational activities of the Sportsbook Department</p> <p>Job Title: Supervisor Sportsbook</p> <p>Department: Sportsbook</p> <p>Reports To: Asst Manager Sportsbook</p> <p>FLSA Designation: Exempt</p> <p>License Type: Key</p> <p>Salary Range: $62,000 - $72,000</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Manager Sportsbook in overseeing all operational activities </li><li>Assist in creating and implementing policies and procedures related to the department and company </li><li>Assist the Manager Sportsbook in monitoring and making recommendations of Sportsbook risk and liability </li><li>Assists in setting up, posting and broadcasting of all sporting events; including television, audio, odds board etc. </li><li>Ensure all gaming regulations, Title 31, and other policies and procedures are always adhered to. </li><li>Communicates and explains wagering to new guests </li><li>Resolves complaints and manages difficult guests' concerns </li><li>Supervises responsibilities of Sportsbook Writers </li><li>Develop processes to consistently train and develop team members to improve their skill set and provide continuous improvement in guest services </li><li>Investigates if a Sportsbook guest is wagering in an unethical or irregular manner or if a Sportsbook team member is working in an unethical or irregular manner and reports the findings appropriately </li><li>Supervises and directs daily labor to business volume </li><li>Ensures the Sportsbook area is always clean and that the equipment is in proper working condition on a daily basis </li><li>Ensures compliance with internal and external regulatory controls including, but not limited to, state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulations </li><li>Trains and manages team members in accordance with organizational and approved department standards, policies and procedures </li><li>Approves Sportsbook wagers within guidelines </li><li>Close Sportsbook Writers at the end of the shift and ensure their bank has been transferred to the Main Cage </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be 21 years of age or older </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>One or more years in the Sportsbook industry, Gaming, or related field </li><li>One or more years of supervisory experience </li><li>Minimum of one year cash handling experience (preferred) </li><li>Proven leadership skills that include delegating when necessary </li><li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral </li><li>Ability to communicate with the leadership team, team members, and guests </li><li>Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a New York State Gaming License </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged period of time </li><li>Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds </li><li>Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel </li><li>Ability to interact with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor </li><li>Possible exposure to high noise level for extended periods of time </li></ul>
