<p>Join the Duro-Last team, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and the world's largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated commercial roofing solutions.</p> <p>Were seeking a Sign Maker / Process Improvement Technician who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.</p> <p>ABOUT THE ROLE</p> <p>The Sign Maker / Process Improvement Technician designs, fabricates, and installs high-quality</p> <p>interior and exterior signage while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This role</p> <p>combines hands-on production work with operational support for 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization</p> <p>activities to improve workplace organization, visual management, and production efficiency.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH</p> <ul> <li>Design, fabricate, and install signage using a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, vinyl, and </li></ul> <p>wood</p> <ul> <li>Operate printers, vinyl cutters, and hand tools to produce professional-grade signage </li><li>Maintain sign-making equipment and manage materials, inventory, and purchasing </li><li>Implement standardized processes for sign requests, tracking, and fulfillment </li><li>Support site-wide 5S initiatives and visual management improvements\ </li><li>Conduct time studies and assist Kaizen facilitators in identifying process improvements </li><li>Track and prioritize signage requests from multiple sites </li><li>Produce signs, banners, labels, and visual controls in accordance with company standards </li><li>Create identification labels, rack labels, safety signage, and production visuals </li><li>Participate in Gemba walks and report on progress and observations </li><li>Support 5S events and workplace organization activities </li><li>Assist Kaizen events focused on efficiency and waste reduction </li><li>Conduct time studies to better understand production workflows </li><li>Respond to signage and labeling requests submitted by plants </li><li>Receive, organize, and store supplies appropriately </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li><li>Monitor material usage and maintain Kanban inventory levels </li><li>Submit purchase requisitions as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required</p> <p>Required Work Experience:</p> <p>0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred</p> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Visio </li><li>Ability to operate or learn printers, vinyl cutters, and related fabrication tools </li><li>Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship </li><li>Ability to follow standards and procedures </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills </li><li>Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team </li><li>Interest in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, or process optimization </li><li>Ability to work on the production floor and lift materials as needed </li><li>Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
