<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Entry</p> <p>Job Location: Newark, OH</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Education Level: High School</p> <p>Salary Range: $45000.00 - $45000.00 Salary/year</p> <p>Travel Percentage: Up to 50%</p> <p>Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Treatment Advocate: Behavioral Health Juvenile Justice - Licking County</p> <p>Compensation: $45,000/year</p> <p>Juvenile Justice Treatment Advocates with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of an integral service team. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works closely with youth, family, Probation Department, and community partners, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.</p> <p>Working at NYAP</p> <ul> <li>Generous Time off: 22 Days of Paid Time Off + 11 Paid Holidays, Half Day Friday's during the summer! </li><li>Health and Wellness: Comprehensive healthcare packages for you and your family; Paid Parental leave </li><li>Professional Growth: CEU's, ongoing training/education, student loan repayment program, and supervision hours </li><li>And So Much More: 401K and 401K Matching flexible hours, mileage reimbursement, phone allowance </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides in-home supportive services, transportation, parenting education, counseling, community resource referral, advocacy, and other social service interventions to the youth and family, meeting or exceeding established outcome thresholds on behalf of persons served. </li><li>Travels daily, to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Identify resources and services in the community that may not be available through the internal service continuum. </li><li>Participate in the development of the youth treatment/service plans with the client, caregiver(s), referring agency, caseworker, significant family member(s), and natural support. </li><li>Regularly review the goals, progress, and activities of the assigned youth. </li><li>Actively and directly engage with the youth to meet service needs and goals/objectives of the treatment/service plan. </li><li>Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting the youth in achieving identified goals. </li><li>Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served. </li><li>Complete all relevant training on a timely basis as required by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards. </li><li>Complete all required documentation in a timely manner. </li><li>Perform other duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>21 years of age or older. </li><li>GED or High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree in social services with experience in child welfare is preferred. </li><li>2 years' experience working directly with youth and families is preferred. </li><li>A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours with afternoon and evening availability. </li><li>Works well independently and as a team member. </li><li>Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations. </li><li>Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. </li></ul> <p>Driving and Vehicle Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Reliable personal transportation </li><li>Good driving record </li><li>Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability </li></ul> <p>Apply today!</p> <p>www.nyap.org/employment</p> <p>Benefits listed are for eligible employees as outlined by our benefit policy.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.</p>
