<p>What will you do?</p> <p>As an Accountant/Examiner 2 in the Medicaid Development & Administration (MDA) Call Center unit, you will be providing technical assistance & guidance to Medicaid Services System (MSS) users.</p> <p>You will also be assisting DODD Medicaid Home & Community Based Waiver providers, County Boards of DD personnel with processing eligible Medicare &/or Medicaid claims for reimbursement for patients housed in DODD facilities &/or from service providers &/or county boards on the inbound phone lines.</p> <p>Tasks of the position include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Receiving inbound calls 6-7 hours of the day </li><li>Researching & responding to basic inquiries utilizing Medicaid related systems </li><li>Providing technical assistance or program assistance to Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) Medicaid Home & Community Based Services Waiver providers, other DODD personnel, County Boards of DD personnel, recipients &/or family members & general public concerning payment systems, accessing systems, locations of Ohio Revised & Administrative Codes, policies & procedures, status of claims, claims processing procedures & system access & security </li><li>Coordinating technical assistance & response to inquiries with other Medicaid Operational units </li><li>Ensuring cases are tracked using appropriate software & volume of open cases remains at a manageable level </li><li>Monitoring & reviewing claim submissions for adjudication & through Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) for appropriate reimbursement </li></ul> <p>To request a reasonable accommodation due to disability, please contact the ADA Coordinator by email at EEO-DiversityAffairs@dodd.ohio.gov.</p> <p>24 months' experience in position involving review & processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or review of documents for accuracy, completeness &/or compliance with reporting guidelines, laws or rules with exp. commensurate to duties to be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>OR 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting AND 12 mos. exp. in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity. </li><li>OR 12 mos. exp. as Accountant/ Examiner 1, 66111, with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned. </li><li>OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Accounting and Finance, Customer Research, Claims Examination, Computer Literacy, Operation Support, Customer Focus, Listening, Responsiveness, Problem Solving</p>
