We welcome you to learn more about our program by visiting our website at: http://www.juneaucharterschool.org</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's or Master's degree in education.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Alaska teaching certificate with elementary or early childhood education endorsement, or ability to obtain upon hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Constructivist teaching experience and/or training.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience teaching in a multi-age classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience and/or training in developing emergent curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience and/or training in working collaboratively with specialists and parents in the classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience as a team member involved in cross-grade, cross-discipline project-based curriculum design.</p> </li></ul> <p>As successful JCCS teacher will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with teachers and specialists to continually update and deliver a whole-school, whole-child curriculum.</p> </li><li> <p>Create a classroom environment, develop lessons, and deliver curriculum using constructivist learning theory.</p> </li><li> <p>Practice Supportive Social Learning to develop in students emotional self-regulation abilities appropriate to their age.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with and train parents to be engaged in the life of the classroom and school.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with small, cross-discipline, multi-age groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently within the JCCS instructional model.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation: Salary is dependent on experience and education.
