<p>#LI-MC3 #LI-Hybrid</p> <p>Essential Functions and Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li>Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance and financial close process. </li><li>Prepare or review client's internal financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards </li><li>Assist clients with developing and/or managing the organization's budget and providing financial and forecast (as needed) </li><li>Coordinate reporting requirements with external auditors and tax accountants (as needed) </li><li>Make recommendations for changes as needed, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed </li><li>Maintain client relationships and assist with engagement billings </li><li>Manage various outsourced accounting services engagements and facilitate training of outsourced accounting team members (as needed) </li><li>Assistance with Job costing, including: </li><li>Review of indirect cost allocation </li><li>Review of posting of direct labor costs and use of labor burdens </li><li>Understanding of contract budgeting process </li><li>Evaluation of costs to complete </li><li>Contract change order and budget adjustment impact </li><li>Review of reasonableness of revenue adjustments </li><li>Review of union payroll and certified payroll reporting and related filings </li><li>Assists clients with banking and bonding company financial requests </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A hybrid of public accounting and private company experience </li><li>Hands-on experience with various accounting processes, such as accounts payable, billing, payroll and financial close </li><li>In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. Familiarity with financial audit/review reporting needs, is a plus </li><li>High degree of accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Organized and able to manage multiple projects and good interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and oral) </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) </li><li>Experience with QuickBooks, Xero and Bill.com is a plus </li><li>Experience with commonly used ERP systems such as Computerease, CMIC, Foundations, Acumatica is a plus </li><li>Work experience with Life Science businesses is a plus </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree</p> </li><li> <p>6 years of experience in public accounting or related field</p> </li><li> <p>3 years supervisory experience</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to travel based on client and business needs</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient use of applicable technology</p> </li></ul>
