<p>Quality Engineer - New Haven, CT</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Looking for a Quality Engineer that will work side by side with the current Quality Manager to build out a Quality System. Must be a hands on, mechanically inclined Quality Engineer with 5+ years of experience. This Quality Engineer with be responsible for FAI, NCR, root cause analysis, and supplier approvals.</p> <p>Stator Quality Support:</p> <p>Assist in addressing and resolving quality issues specifically related to high temp stator components and new supplier development.</p> <p>Motor Housing Porosity Quality Support:</p> <p>Assist in working with Engineering and casting supplier to resolve high scrap rate due to pressure leaks and reimbursement/savings.</p> <p>Part Marking Quality Support:</p> <p>Incoming part/pump marking for private labels is followed to PO requirements and assist with supplier NCR's and root cause corrective actions.</p> <p>Skills</p> <p>Non Conformance Reports, Root cause analysis, Supplier quality, quality system, first article inspection, NCR System, Pump Engineering</p> <p>Top Skills Details</p> <p>Non Conformance Reports,Root cause analysis,Supplier quality,quality system,first article inspection</p> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <p>First Article Review (FAI):</p> <p>Review First Article Inspections (FAIs) from suppliers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to specifications.</p> <p>Supplier Approval Process:</p> <p>Work directly with suppliers to ensure quality documentation is submitted and accurate, and that process capability is demonstrated.</p> <p>Corrective Action Follow-up:</p> <p>Assist in tracking, validating, and closing supplier corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys).</p> <p>Documentation Review:</p> <p>Ensure that quality records, control plans, and Production part approval process meet internal and industry standards.</p> <p>NCR Follow-up and Completion:</p> <p>Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely closure, documentation, and resolution.</p> <p>Cross-functional Collaboration: Comfortable working across departments, particularly with Engineering and Manufacturing.</p> <p>Experience Level</p> <p>Intermediate Level</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
