Through our focuses on Safety throughout our facilities, Quality of products produced for our customers, Communication at all levels, Growth of not just our locations but also of our employees in their careers, and Performance with our ability to meet deadlines and goals for ourselves and our customers, we pride ourselves on the brand we have created and continue to grow.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Government Cellar Operator position is a key part of City's liquid production team, ensuring the efficient operation of all batching production equipment to create the highest quality products for our customers.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Comply with all work and safety rules, including wearing of personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, hat and/or hairnet, respiratory/air mask, emergency breathing equipment, goggles, rubber boots, ear plugs, safety harness, arm gauntlets, insulated clothing, face shields, and hard-composite or steal toe shoes </li><li>Work with and/or around hazardous chemicals (i.e. caustics, acids, ammonia) with personal protection equipment, and on-site training </li><li>Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, health standard, and sanitation as mandated by FDA regulations, Department of Agriculture and other regulatory agencies - municipal, state and federal </li><li>Be able to operate handheld scanner and keyboard -- with in-house training </li><li>Be able to read work orders, machinery and equipment controls for operation and operate computer </li><li>Have mathematical ability for inventory and record keeping </li><li>Be able to operate and maneuver high pressure air and water hoses (hot and cold) for cleaning machinery and floors </li><li>Follow all GMP and food safety rules including ones specific for the job function </li><li>Carry out multitasking functions to meet the daily and weekly production volume requirements to support departmental throughputs </li><li>Perform work assignments as written in the standard operating procedure for that process or piece of equipment </li><li>Inform team lead or supervisor if a process or equipment is not performing normally or the product does not meet the required specifications </li><li>Communicate with the batching, quality assurance, and maintenance teams as needed </li><li>Inform the team lead or supervisor when the materials do not meet adequate inventory </li><li>Maintain cleanliness in assigned work area in accordance with the collateral duties list </li><li>All other duties as assigned by batching supervisors and management </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED certificate required </li><li>Minimum of two years' experience working in a production facility, ideally with direct exposure to beverage or food manufacturing processes </li><li>Familiarity with operating and maintaining processing equipment, such as brewing/batching vessels, pumps, and filtration systems including routine clean in place (CIP) procedures and general sanitation practices </li><li>Experience monitoring and adjusting process parameters, conducting sampling for quality control, and performing process troubleshooting as needed </li><li>Ability to follow standard operating procedures, work safely with raw materials and chemicals, and accurately complete required production documentation </li><li>Previous work in an environment that demands multitasking and teamwork to achieve production targets and maintain product quality </li><li>Experience in working with computer controlled automated equipment </li><li>Intermediate PC skills using Microsoft Office products including Excel </li><li>Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with coworkers and department leader </li><li>Ability to be flexible to work shift schedules including weekend and holiday shifts </li></ul> <p>City Brewery is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.</p>
