To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this tip sheet.</p> <p>The Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency is currently seeking a full time OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2. The OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2 creates and implements strategic efforts in assigned hospitals for the purpose of facilitating organ and tissue donation. Through the ongoing assessment of hospital performance data, the OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2 builds a knowledge base of each hospital's donor potential, staff, functions and processes. The OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2 develops strong working relationships at all levels with hospital clients, determine needs relative to the donor process, create invested donation advocates, and implement action plans to maximize donation.</p> <p>CORE JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops and coordinates programs with medical service providers in order to improve the hospital's competitive position</p> </li><li> <p>Assists appropriate staff when needed in the procurement of any needed medical records or information pre or post recovery i.e., x-rays and EMS runs</p> </li><li> <p>Educates the pre-hospital care provider community in order to keep them informed of the changes in the standards of care they are required to deliver, market the hospital full ranges of services to the provider community, and develop a stronger relationship between the hospital and these providers</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as customer service liaison between the hospital and service providers with the objective of establishing and strengthening relationships as well as increasing the number of patients that these services bring to the hospital</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and coordinates marketing and educational programs aimed at promoting and increasing the full range of services within area hospitals</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains hospital referral base and implements strategies aimed at increasing and improving performance outcomes in all hospital services</p> </li><li> <p>Sustains relationships with referring physicians and nursing staff, and initiates changes in practice to increase the quality of the hospital services</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes multi-disciplinary councils to develop standards of practices that will optimize outcomes</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in collaborative hospital committees, departmental/administrative meetings in assigned hospitals</p> </li><li> <p>Performs public and professional education or other hospital development functions on an as-needed basis</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.</p> </li></ul> <p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be <p>Experience:</p> <p>Minimum 2 years of relevant experience</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in computer software (i.e.,
