<p>About LCA</p> <p>LCA is an accredited Pre K-12, private Christian School in Bloomington, IN. offering a variety of opportunities from AP classes, IHSAA athletics, and a robust arts program for students to use and develop their God given gifts while being guided by a faculty, staff, and coaches who model our values of Living for the Lord, Caring for the Community, and Advancing in Academics.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>We are seeking an Athletic Director to lead and oversee the athletic programs at LCA ensuring they align with the school's mission and vision. This position requires significant after-school time for athletic competitions and administrative duties to support student-athletes, coaches, and the overall success of our athletics program.</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide visionary leadership and oversight for all elementary, middle, and high school athletic programs, ensuring alignment with the overall mission of LCA. </li><li>Recruit, hire, and evaluate coaches, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and spiritual growth among athletes. </li><li>Manage athletic department operations, including scheduling practices and games, securing facilities, arranging transportation, and ensuring compliance with IHSAA regulations. </li><li>Oversee the athletic budget, including purchasing equipment, uniforms, and coordinating fundraising efforts in conjunction with the LCA Booster Club. </li><li>Work closely with administration to develop policies, ensure student eligibility, and promote academic excellence among athletes. </li><li>Organize and facilitate athletic events, including tournaments, and awards ceremonies. </li><li>Maintain records of athletic achievements, eligibility, and compliance with school and state regulations. </li><li>Commit to working significant after-school hours for games, practices, meetings, and other athletic department needs. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>A proven track record with organizational leadership, written and oral communication skills, and people management is required. </li><li>Candidates with a bachelors degree or higher are preferred. </li><li>Candidates with an IDOE teaching license or the ability to obtain one are preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Expectations</p> <ul> <li>A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the Christian faith in daily life. </li><li>Active membership in a local church and alignment with the school's statement of faith. </li></ul>
