Interview applicants, collect financial data and documents, and effectively negotiates and delivers a full range of fully-compliant mortgage solutions that meets the expressed needs of the client and assists buyers in the purchase process through closing. In addition, they market and cross sell all Bank products and are responsible for attaining established sales goals. Have a willingness to generate business through the development of relationships, which result in referrals from internal colleagues, individual consumers, community-based organizations, real estate brokers, and builders/developers across multiple market areas.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li>Develops business using a targeted sales plan and focused sales routines that include building relationships with borrowers, potential borrowers, real estate agents, and builders/developers. </li><li>Counsels clients on possible solutions </li><li>Gathers all initial documentation based on recommended loan program </li><li>Processes the loan data through an automated underwriting system </li><li>Monitors processing through closing </li><li>Fosters relationships with other lines of business to generate cross sales activity </li></ul> <p>Other Qualifications/Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of mortgage-specific software a plus </li><li>Willingness and desire to learn and master the entire mortgage process from start to finish </li><li>Willingness and desire to learn and master the various mortgage loan programs available to customers </li><li>Stays up to date with all compliance guidelines </li><li>Bachelors Degree and minimum 3 years banking and/or mortgage lending experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience </li></ul> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>Heartland Bank and Trust Company is headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois.
