<p>The following position will be available for the 2025-2026 school year</p> <p>TitleFood Service Director 187 Working Days 15 Extended Days Salary per Food Service Supervisor Salary Schedule</p> <p>Reports To:Superintendent</p> <p>Qualifications :</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas, or </li><li>Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors or </li><li>Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and at least 1 year of relevant food service experience, or </li><li>Associate's degree or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas, 1 and at least 1 year of relevant food service experience; or </li><li>High school diploma (or GED) and 3 years of relevant food service experience. </li></ul> <p>General Duites:</p> <ul> <li>Follows Ohio Department of Education required School Nutrition Programs </li><li>Prepares for Ohio Department of Education audit of School Nutrition Programs and complies documentation </li><li>Ensure safety of students </li><li>Promote and monitor safe work-place practices for all food service personnel </li><li>Requisite all equipment and supplies for lunch program </li><li>Maintain proper safeguards for storage and usage of government commodities </li><li>Oversee inventory of foods on a monthly basis </li><li>Schedule food service staff </li><li>Supervise and control the purchase of foodstuff and supplies </li><li>Set sanitation standards and ensure all food service staff are aware of these standards </li><li>Supervise the financial management of the cafeterias </li><li>Establish repair or maintenance procedures of cafeteria equipment </li><li>Establish inventory procedures and inventory training for personnel </li><li>Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports </li><li>Prepare and submit all required state reports </li><li>Prepare menus for the school district </li></ul> <p>A complete list of job responsibilities is available in the Superintendent's Office.</p> <p>Candidates that meet the qualifications and are interested in applying for this position, must submit a letter of interest to jobs@pleasantstaff.org.</p> <p>Nondiscrimination Notice</p> <p>In accordance with the regulations set forth in Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Title IX of the Educational Act of 1972, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the American Disabilities Act of 1990, the Pleasant Local School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age or disability, in providing equal opportunity for employment and admission or access to any of the facilities, programs, and activities which it operates.</p>
