<p>General Position Description</p> <p>Follows Pixelle Specialty Solutions Reliability Roadmap in support of the plant's strategic and production plans. Remain knowledgeable of the latest reliability technologies. Applies engineering principles in the elimination of downtime for new and existing equipment. Fosters continuous improvement and enforcement of Maintenance Engineering Best Practices. He / she ensures responsive and proactive maintenance support to all plant operating partners by helping implement sound work processes.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Champions Safety in Every Aspect of the Position </li><li>Actively participates in Daily Standard Work (Daily Safety Talks (Risk of the Shift), Daily Review of Production / Equipment Performance, Maintenance Daily Briefing, Etc.) </li><li>Ensure a high level of awareness for Pixelle's Safety Policy </li><li>Ensure Environmental Systems Process Awareness and Compliance </li><li>Understands and follows Company Policies </li><li>Brainstorm and drive continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with operational teams to reduce downtime </li><li>Identifies SOP Opportunities - Partners with Operations and Maintenance Team Members to create and follow a continuous improvement approach to Standard Work </li><li>Identifies and recommends new technologies aimed at enhancing reliability strategies </li><li>Develops criticalities for new equipment to maintain the Asset Criticality Matrix </li><li>Facilitate development of maintenance strategies for equipment </li><li>Define scope and develop Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for modification work as assigned </li><li>Champions Spring Grove Mill RCFA process by leading investigations and ensuring action items are implemented in a timely manner </li><li>Supports Continuous Process Improvement of precision maintenance, predictive / preventative maintenance, and Operator Basic Care </li><li>PM Optimization - Routinely review PMs and work orders with follow-up work from PMs to determine if scope and/or frequency should be adjusted </li><li>Assists Operations in Development of Critical Spares List </li><li>Project Management as Assigned </li><li>Completes Special Assignments as Directed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field </li><li>Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial / manufacturing environments </li><li>Must have strong analytical, technical, interpersonal, and communication skills </li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving </li><li>Ability to handle deadlines, variable workloads, and being on call, as required </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member </li><li>SAP experience (particularly SAP Maintenance) is beneficial </li></ul>
