The world runs on data. Data runs on STACK.</p> <p>THE POSITION:</p> <p>At STACK, the Senior Accountant, General Ledger is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, participate in the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right hand person to the Accounting Manager.</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).</p> <ul> <li> <p>Accounting Close:</p> </li><li> <p>Complete the month end close process and preparation of journal entries Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and maintain fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Accounting Manager in reviewing the work of the Staff Accountant</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit</p> </li><li> <p>General:</p> </li><li> <p>Work cross functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processes</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, including Revenue Accounting, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Tax, Finance and Treasury teams</p> </li><li> <p>Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forward</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and implement ideas for process improvement</p> </li></ul> <p>THE DETAILS:</p> <ul> <li>Location: Denver, CO - 3 days in office </li><li>Travel: less than 10% </li><li>Compensation: $78,000 - $88,000 + Bonus </li><li>Must be eligible to work in the United States </li><li>Must pass comprehensive background screening </li></ul> <p>MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>BS in Accounting required </li><li>3+ years prior work experience </li><li>CPA and public accounting experience preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of US GAAP </li><li>Multi-entity and international experience preferred </li><li>NetSuite experience preferred </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills </li><li>Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams </li><li>Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision </li><li>Proven success in creating efficiencies in processes and procedures </li></ul> <p>THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:</p> <ul> <li>You're a strong communicator, equally comfortable in front of customers as the data center hall.
