Reporting to the Director of Club Sports. The Assistant Club Women's Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting all aspects of the club program as well as being committed to the academic mission of the University. The Assistant Club Women's Basketball Coach teaches the sport of Women's Basketball to student-athletes, and provides for coaching, recruitment and retention of women's basketball players.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Be knowledgeable of, and abide by, all University and campus policies, league policies, campus recreational policies and conference/league requirements. </li><li>Plan, organize and assist with the operations for the club sport program including coaching, fundraising, budgeting and travel arrangements. </li><li>Travel with and supervise team at home and away games to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>It is important for the Assistant Coach to have a background in the sport with a minimum bachelor's degree. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of Collegiate Women's Basketball rules and regulations. </li><li>They must grasp the current Women's Basketball strategies and techniques. </li><li>Posses a valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>About Iona University/EEO language</p> <p>Founded in 1940, Iona University is a master's-granting private, Catholic, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
