<p>Job Title: Part-Time Admissions Specialist - SACE (School of Adult & Continuing Education)</p> <p>Classification: Professional</p> <p>Department: SACE Admissions</p> <p>Reports to: Associate Director of SACE Admissions</p> <p>FLSA: Temporary, Contract Position</p> <p>Location: Philadelphia, PA - Hybrid</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The School of Adult and Continuing Education (SACE) is seeking a personable, detail-oriented, and service-minded individual to serve as a Part-Time Admissions Specialist. This position plays a critical role in supporting admissions operations and prospective student engagement for adult undergraduate and graduate learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service, excellent attention to detail, thrive on organization and efficiency and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, hybrid work environment.</p> <p>This role supports both on-campus and remote activities with a focus on assisting prospective adult learners as they navigate the admissions process.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Review and process incoming adult learner applications for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with admissions requirements.</p> <p>Enter applicant data and documentation into the admissions system with a high level of accuracy.</p> <p>Serve as a first point of contact for prospective students by responding to inquiries via phone, email, and virtual appointments.</p> <p>Communicate application statuses with applicants via phone and email promptly.</p> <p>Support admissions events including open houses, information sessions, and all other recruitment events and initiatives -both virtual and in-person.</p> <p>Maintain accurate records and assist in document scanning, renaming, and uploading student credentials (e.g., transcripts, recommendations).</p> <p>Coordinate follow-up communications with applicants to ensure timely submission of materials and next steps.</p> <p>Collaborate with other university offices to support a seamless applicant experience from inquiry to decision.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.</p> <p>Previous experience in admissions, customer service, or administrative roles-especially in a higher education or adult learner setting.</p> <p>Proven ability to think critically and process complex information with accuracy.</p> <p>Demonstrated understanding of the needs of adult learners and non-traditional students.</p> <p>Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.</p> <p>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities in both in-person and virtual settings.</p> <p>A warm, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office and student information systems (e.g., Recruit or similar CRM platforms).</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>This position is based in Philadelphia, PA and operates on a hybrid schedule. Work is primarily performed in a university office environment, with flexibility for remote engagement and on-campus presence for key admissions activities.</p> <p>Note:</p> <p>This position profile is not all-inclusive and may be modified to reflect changing needs and priorities. The employee may be asked to perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.</p>
