<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position assists in the facilitation of the procurement processes for commodities and services for the DOC. The responsibilities of this position include reviewing Simplified Bids, assisting with or conducting Requests for Bids (RFBs), and the processing of Inter-Governmental Agreements (IGAs), Memorandums of Understanding or Agreement (MOUs/MOAs). This position also may request Governor's waivers. This position also manages the use of contracts for commodities and services.</p> <p>This position may also be responsible for contract management responsibilities such as: ensuring procurements are under the scope of the contract, setting up transactional contract numbers, monitoring contract spend, and assisting in the resolution contractual conflicts. Additional responsibilities for this role include working in STAR ERP system to complete tasks such approving requisitions, approving Purchase Orders Change Orders, creating transactional contracts, running reports, closing Purchasing Orders, and fiscal year end transaction processing.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay for the Objective level is between $42952 and $70782 per year and for the Senior level is between $55889 and $92206, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range for the Objective level is 07-04 and the Senior level is 07-03. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.</p> <p>The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment.</p> <p>NOTE: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Providing customer service to various audiences </li><li>Reviewing transactions for compliance to rules, policies, and/or regulations </li><li>Reviewing quotes, invoices, bids (simplified or RFB), estimates, or similar </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Performing contract management duties including any of the following: writing, negotiation, conflict resolution, contract performance evaluation </li><li>Developing specifications for the procurement of good or services </li><li>Interpreting and applying public procurement policies and procedures. </li><li>Work with a formal solicitations process such as a Request for Bids (RFBs) or Request for Proposal (or equivalent) </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click on "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
