<p>Job Title Student Life Center Open Recreation Attendant 2025-2026 Academic Year Department Campus Recreation Office Job Description/Duties</p> <p>Job overview:</p> <p>The job of the Open Recreation Attendant is to assist monitoring and overseeing the Student Life Center, ensuring safety, customer service and procedure adherence. This includes positions at the front desk, equipment checkout, and as fitness attendants.</p> <p>Directly reports to:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Director of Recreational Sports for Facilities & Aquatics </li><li>Graduate Assistant of Recreational Sports for Facilities & Aquatics </li><li>Student Building Supervisors and Managers </li></ul> <p>Job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Candidates must apply, be interviewed, and be willing to attend all designated training sessions </li><li>Serve as a potential first responder to injuries and emergency situations that occur in the Student Life Center </li><li>Work in the building areas of the Student Life Center including front desk, fitness areas, and equipment checkout </li><li>Required to attend monthly training sessions for updating or refreshing Student Life Center policies and procedures </li><li>Ensure building coverage and patron safety </li><li>Provide customer service and guidance on Student Life Center policies and procedures to patrons </li><li>Discipline patrons who do not act in accordance with department and college policies </li><li>Must possess problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills </li></ul> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <p>Morning, afternoon, night and weekend hours required.</p> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Student Life Center</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current SUNY Cortland student </li><li>Must hold certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or be willing to become certified within 30 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Special Conditions for Eligibility Contact Name(s) & Email(s)</p> <p>You will be contacted via email if you are considered for this position.</p> <p>Salary Grade A-$15.50/hr.
