<p>Overview</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Associate Degree in Nursing</p> <p>To be assigned to Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED) must provide evidence of one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum one-year Emergency Department experience as a staff nurse </li><li>Minimum one-year ICU experience as a staff nurse </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification/Registration:</p> <p>BLS</p> <p>One of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Current Alabama RN license </li><li>Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama* </li><li>Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama </li></ul> <p>Code Team participation is assigned to MICU, NICU, SICU, PACU, ED, CCU, Peds/PICU, and L&D/Nursery departments. Participation is expected after six months of hire following success completion of ACLS, PALS or NRP course as appropriate</p> <p>ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration</p> <p>ACLS and PALS are required to be assigned/work Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED)</p> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <p>BSN/MS degree in Nursing</p> <p>Working knowledge of area</p> <p>Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:</p> <p>ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates comprehensive care for designated patients to ensure quality of care and continuity of care delivery.</p>
