At CommWell Health, you won't just care for patients, you'll empower families, change lives, and be part of a mission-driven team that believes everyone deserves quality healthcare, close to home.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Enters (new and refill) prescription orders in the computer to include: </li><li>Upon receipt of the prescription check for insurance (Medicaid-obtain card), drug allergies, check for duplicate discount with Medicaid </li><li>Alerts the pharmacist if any drug allergies are known and enter into the computer </li><li>Alerts the pharmacist if any drug-drug interactions arise </li><li>Enters and charges insurance prescriptions properly </li><li>Enters and charges all indigent patient programs </li><li>Sends medication requests to the provider if patient is out of refills. </li><li>Enters all prescription information in pharmacy system. </li><li>Corrects insurance information if prescription is rejected. </li></ul> <p>Prescriptions:</p> <ul> <li>Fills prescriptions accurately, counts and labels all medications before pharmacist checks. Contacts provider, if needed. </li><li>Completes patient assistance applications and follows up on refills. </li><li>Maintains reports of patient assistance medications. </li><li>Forward faxes to appropriate department. </li><li>Assist in all aspects of mailing prescription via UPS. </li><li>Calls patients to arrange for home delivery of medications </li><li>Calls patients with upcoming refills due to facilitate processing of refills </li></ul> <p>Customer Services:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for balancing and closing out cash drawers. Preparing end of day reports (QS1 POS), while maintaining a cash drawer with adequate change to operate. Includes daily balancing cash and reports for submission to finance department. </li><li>Present Eagle Excellence Service always. </li><li>Assist ADAP patients </li><li>Answer phone calls </li><li>Translate, when needed. </li><li>Monitors patient and visitor traffic during clinic hours and greets all patients in pharmacy area. </li></ul> <p>Maintains supplies</p> <ul> <li>Reorders low stock </li><li>Sign in orders: checks quantities, prices and expiration dates, files all paperwork properly, </li></ul> <p>separates files for Controlled Substances receipts, updates acquisition prices in the computer</p> <ul> <li>Maintains office supplies: orders from proper places using proper forms. </li><li>Files filled prescriptions daily in numerical order. </li><li>PCHH Care Team: </li><li>Assists with promoting the collaboration for the patient's continuum of care with all members of the PCHH Care Team. </li><li>Maintains Continuing Education credits as required by the NC Board of Pharmacy. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification </li><li>BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association </li><li>Registered with NC Board of Pharmacy as a Technician within 30 days of employment and then annually. </li><li>340B University for Health Centers Certification (within 90 days) </li><li>Medicare Parts C & D General Compliance Training and Combating Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (within 90 days, and then annually) </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED</p> <ul> <li>Pharmacy Experience (Preferred) </li><li>Bilingual (Highly Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Why Join CommWell Health?</p> <p>Impact: Be part of a team that delivers life-changing care to underserved populations.</p> <p>Balance: Enjoy a supportive, flexible environment that values your well-being.</p> <p>Growth: Access continuous learning, advancement pathways, and leadership development.</p> <p>Recognition: Your voice matters.
