To accomplish these tasks the Maintenance person must work closely with the staff and administration of Weld RE-1.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in maintaining school buildings and grounds in top condition.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in school</p> </li><li> <p>buildings and grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and</p> </li><li> <p>repair projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on exterior and interior of buildings and school grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Clean and maintain all equipment and tools used for maintenance or grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in snow removal.</p> </li><li> <p>Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings.</p> </li><li> <p>Clean and maintain district maintenance vehicles.</p> </li><li> <p>Be available and work overtime when emergencies arise in order to prevent disruption of the schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Observe district policies at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend work and arrive in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in building maintenance preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Colorado driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Any certification as required for the position</p> </li></ul> <p>TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with computers and software relating to maintenance through the work order process.</p> </li><li> <p>React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriately operate all equipment and machinery as necessary.
