<p>Salary Information</p> <p>The position is classified as a Legislative Assistant with an annual salary range of $46,320 to $70,632 per year. Starting salary is dependent on experience and education. This position receives the same benefits available to other State of Wisconsin employees, including health insurance and retirement. For more information related to benefits, please see: https://legis.wisconsin.gov/lhro/benefits.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <ul> <li>Provide excellent service to constituents; </li><li>Manage constituent correspondence, primarily including drafting constituent emails and maintaining constituent database; </li><li>Manage social media accounts, including planning the schedule, drafting content, and designing graphics; </li><li>Assist the Deputy Chief of Staff with constituent casework, including prioritizing cases and communicating with constituents and state/local agency liaisons; </li><li>Monitor and research legislative proposals and laws in order to respond to constituent outreach; </li><li>Assist the Deputy Chief of Staff with the Senator's proactive outreach to constituents; </li><li>Provide clerical and general office support as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communications skills; </li><li>Experience in government, politics, non-profits, advocacy, or organizing; </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize simultaneous competing projects and duties; </li><li>Motivated self-starter who can work independently and as a part of a team; </li><li>Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; </li><li>Knowledge of social media and communications strategies; </li><li>High degree of professionalism and an understanding of discretion, attention to detail, and the occasional long hours needed to effectively staff a state legislator. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
