<p>General Summary</p> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>With three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, Front Range Community College is the state's largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.</p> <p>Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-year universities. FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers. Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition. We're looking to hire people who share these values-along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.</p> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>As an Academic Lab Instructor in our Math Center, you will assist with answering students' math questions on a drop-in basis. Students who visit the Math Center may be enrolled in classes that range from Introductory Algebra to Differential Equations, with the majority of students being in College Algebra.</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS: Position will remain open until filled.</p> <p>Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.</p> <p>The selection process for the Academic Lab Instructor will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. Consideration will be based on the completed application packaged submitted by the candidate. Part-time hours and schedule are somewhat variable per semester and cannot exceed 28 hours per week. This position is for 15-20 hours per week.</p> <p>SALARY:$38.00 hourly</p> <p>BENEFITS:Variable hour employees will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period. (See: Instructor & Variable Hour Employee Benefit Information).</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li>Greet students as they enter the Math Center and introduce them to the tutor(s) on duty who can assist them with their questions. </li><li>Ensure students sign in and sign out to help keep track of traffic in the Math Center at different times and days throughout the semester. </li><li>Work alongside another instructor and/or student hourly to answer students' math questions from a wide range of courses. </li><li>Submit bi-weekly timesheets to report hours worked in the Math Center, as well as leave requests for any absences that occur. </li><li>Report any concerns or incidents to the Math Center Coordinator, looping in the ASC front desk or Campus Security as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education/Training & Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>A Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field. </li></ul> <p>Welcoming.
