<p>Assistant Professor of Art History - Tenure Track Position</p> <p>Apply now Job no: 492618</p> <p>Work type: Full-Time</p> <p>Location: Administration - Orangeburg, SC</p> <p>Categories: Faculty</p> <p>The Visual Arts Program in the Department of Visual & Performing Arts at SC State University seeks a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in Art History and Art Appreciation with knowledge of Art History and Aesthetics.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Duties include committee assignments, shared gallery management, departmental responsibilities, and university/community service. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular campus and workplace attendance schedule. </li><li>Teaching responsibilities include but are not limited to art history: ARTH 215 Art History Survey I, ARTH 216 Art History Survey II, ARTH 420 Modern and Contemporary Art History, ARTH African American Art History, and ART 250 Art appreciation courses. </li><li>The successful candidate will teach four courses each semester; actively participate in the Visual Arts Program unit and serve as academic advisor to assigned students. </li><li>Other responsibilities include Departmental, School/College, and University committee services.
