<p>Eastside Middle School seeking a dedicated and highly organized Middle School Science Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured, rigorous educational environment and is committed to delivering standards-based instruction that fosters critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and academic excellence for the 2026-27 school year.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction for middle school students, including subjects such as life science, physical science, and earth science </li><li>Develop and implement detailed lesson plans that align with curriculum pacing guides and school-wide instructional frameworks </li><li>Maintain a highly structured classroom environment with clear expectations, routines, and procedures </li><li>Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly </li><li>Administer and analyze formative and summative assessments to ensure student mastery of content </li><li>Incorporate hands-on experiments, labs, and inquiry-based learning within a structured framework </li><li>Enforce school-wide discipline policies consistently and effectively </li><li>Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding academic progress and behavior </li><li>Participate in professional development, team meetings, and curriculum planning sessions </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior </li></ul> <p>Candidate must have Kentucky Science Middle Grades Certification and possess all other requirements according to BCPS.</p> <p>This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.
