<p>Summary: The Nutrition Clinical Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, and supervision of the students in the MS Applied Nutrition and Dietetics program. The Nutrition Clinical Coordinator delivers the courses associated with the Supervised Experiential Learning to ensure students receive the instruction they need while in their Supervised Experiential Learning rotations. The Nutrition Clinical Coordinator monitors the time records and evaluation forms submitted by the students and their preceptors.</p> <p>The Nutrition Clinical Coordinator is responsible for ensuring courses, faculty, and students meet supervised experiential learning expectations, goals, and outcomes. They will coordinate with preceptors to assign and modify the rotation schedule to meet the needs of students, preceptors, and facilities.</p> <p>The Nutrition Clinical Coordinator is responsible for mentoring student dietitians to be leaders in their field and practice in line with the mission, vision, and values of Logan University.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate the transformation of student dietitians to competent, compassionate, and culturally responsive professionals who can apply the curriculum in real-world practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver the Supervised Experiential Learning courses.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for student orientation prior to beginning the Supervised Experiential Learning course and rotations.</p> </li><li> <p>Along with the Program Director, responsible for the revision of Supervised Experiential Learning curriculum to keep it up to date, evidence-based, and compliant with accreditation standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Seek out innovative experiential learning opportunities for students and embed them into the curriculum and rotations.</p> </li><li> <p>In partnership with the Program Director, involved with student recruitment, advisement, evaluation, and counseling, as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Recruit, orient, train, and retain quality preceptors.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate and maintain affiliation agreements. Conduct annual site visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the Supervised Experiential Learning rotation schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor student progress in achieving all ACEND required competencies, hours, and other standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Support student readiness for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentialing exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct scholarly activities and service that enhance student learning and advance the dietetics profession.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate and coordinate with program students, preceptors, faculty, and others involved with the program to foster a positive learning environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide leadership, oversight, and mediation related to preceptor/student conflict resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate ongoing professional development with preceptors regarding best practices related to dietetics.</p> </li><li> <p>In partnership with the Program Director, ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and accrediting bodies' rules and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>In collaboration with the Program Director, maintenance of program accreditation (if appropriate), including:</p> </li><li> <p>Maintenance of the program's student records, including student advising plans and supervised experiential learning hours</p> </li><li> <p>Maintenance of concerns/complaints about the program received from students or others, including disposition of the concerns/complaints;</p> </li><li> <p>Ongoing review of the program's curriculum to meet the accreditation standards</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitation of processes for continuous program evaluation</p> </li><li> <p>Timely submission of required documentation supporting the graduate's eligibility for the credentialing exam.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Assumes additional responsibilities, performs special projects, and assists with other duties as needed or requested. </li><li>Exhibits student-centeredness in the performance of all job duties. </li><li>Treats all others with respect; understands the impact of culture/background on the behavior of others; respects differences among the Logan community and demonstrates inclusive behavior. </li><li>Anticipates, listens to, understands, and responds to student needs.
