<p>Description</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, direction and oversight of the system reform and continuous improvement departments. This would also include the Training Department, L2L management system, continuous improvement, and budget plant support. The Lead Coordinator will work closely with senior management to support budget planning, operational efficiency, and the overall enhancement of plant functions.</p> <p>Position Duties and Responsibilities / % of Time Spent</p> <ul> <li>Managing the Plant Operations Department: 30% </li><li>Business System Administration and Control: 25% </li><li>Overall plant action plan control (Major Themes): 20% </li><li>Executive support: 10% </li><li>Special Projects: 10% </li><li>Budget Control (expense & Capital): 5% </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>4-year college degree in Business or Related Field (or equivalent experience and education) </li><li>Minimum of 5 years' related work experience </li><li>Minimum of 5 years' experience with project and change management </li><li>Previous supervisory experience </li><li>Basic level proficiency in Windows, MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint </li><li>Well organized and deadline oriented </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in automotive industry is a plus </li><li>Customer Relations Experience </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated. </li><li>A strong sense of urgency, unquestioned ethics, and the ability to hold others accountable while maintaining good working relationships. </li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy </li><li>Confers with and prepares reports for executive management and possibly other Hitachi Astemo facilities </li><li>Advanced experience and application of Continuous improvement, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing, business system development, financial and accounting systems, and value stream management. </li><li>Develops and controls department budgets and assists top plant management with fiscal budgets </li><li>Maintains clean and orderly work environment </li><li>Ensures all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional area </li><li>Conducts performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provides support / training as needed </li><li>Provides strong leadership support and career development for subordinates </li><li>Interacts with various levels of associates </li><li>Analyzes technology, resource needs, market demand, and confers with all departments to assess feasibility of projects </li><li>Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed </li><li>Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions and technical terminology </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Will supervise associates </li></ul> <p>Software:</p> <ul> <li>Basic experience required in Windows, MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint </li></ul> <p>Essential to Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting </li><li>Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the work day </li><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds </li><li>Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Requires 5% travel </li><li>In-person position </li><li>Open-Office Setting </li><li>Factory Setting with Noise </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used:</p> <ul> <li>Personal Computer </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities</p> <p>At Astemo, we're challenging the status quo with the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
