<p>As a member of the Yard Staff team, you'll play a key role in safely receiving, preparing, staging, and checking out consigned equipment for our auctions. Providing exceptional customer service in alignment with Ritchie Bros. standards is always expected.</p> <p>No prior auction experience? No problem!</p> <p>We offer comprehensive, hands-on training to help you succeed in this role.</p> <p>This is a part-time role with full-time hours, and it is fully onsite, working in the yard.</p> <p>The Opportunity:</p> <ul> <li>Support general inventory control and equipment staging </li><li>Prepare the yard for auction, including lot stickering and layout </li><li>Assist sellers, buyers, and transporters during equipment drop-off and pick-up </li><li>Help Inventory Control Clerks with check-in/check-out when needed </li><li>Maintain organized and efficient checkout processes </li><li>Provide customer support during preview days </li><li>Assist with maintenance and basic repairs on both customer-owned and RB-owned equipment </li><li>Perform general yard upkeep and maintenance of RBA assets </li><li>Coordinate with local mechanics and contractors for on-site work </li><li>Boost equipment as needed </li><li>Work independently and safely when required </li><li>Support other team tasks and responsibilities as needed </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Experience operating heavy equipment </li><li>A strong commitment to working safely and encouraging others to do the same </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills </li><li>A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities </li><li>Attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude </li><li>A good sense of humor and the ability to have fun while working hard </li><li>A commitment to Ritchie Bros.' Unreserved Commitment to Safety - ensuring everyone goes home safe, every day </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record </li><li>Physical ability to climb on, off, and under large equipment and trucks </li><li>Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions </li><li>Availability to work overtime, including weekends, during peak periods (approximately 4 on-site and 1-2 off-site auctions per year) </li><li>Flexibility to work extended hours 2-3 weeks before and 1-2 weeks after each sale </li></ul>
