<p>WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE ARE:</p> <p>At Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, we work as a team to manufacturer boat propellers using an investment casting process. We make high quality products while supporting our teams and local communities by providing great careers in a safe, respectful, and innovative environment.</p> <p>POSITION PURPOSE</p> <p>The Grind Operator is responsible grinding the surface of castings using a combination of floor grinders and precision hand tools. In addition, the Grind Operator is responsible for performing final inspections.</p> <p>Starting $17.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience.</p> <p>Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Operate grinding machines to shape and finish metal propellers </li><li>Set up machines according to job specifications </li><li>Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy </li><li>Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications </li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts </li><li>Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality </li><li>Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and adhering to lockout/tagout protocols </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED/High School equivalency </li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and hold 40+ pound parts and lift them to a shoulder level height </li><li>Ability to work independently and within a team setting with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to operate various grinders and finishing hand tools </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Effective verbal communication skills </li><li>Basic math and reasoning ability </li><li>Must be a team player </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>All candidates will be subject to full background screening prior to employment. </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT US</p> <ul> <li>Learning & Development: Tuition assistance is available along with an internal training budget.
