Working during show events.</p> <p>This role pays an hourly rate of $13.75 - $15.00.</p> <p>Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.</p> <p>EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.</p> <p>About the Venue</p> <p>The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center Complex, located in Charleston West Virginia boasts 529,000 sq.ft. including a 13,500 seat arena, 100,000 sq.ft. of meeting space with the largest room of 72,400 sq.ft, 50,000 sq.ft. of exhibit space, a 25,000 sq.ft. ballroom with ample pre-function spaces, 760 seat theater. The Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center hosts a variety of events, including sporting events, world-class entertainment, conventions, meetings, banquets, and other social events.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Clean bathrooms, floors, drinking fountains, chairs, seating, furniture, walls, windows, fixtures, aisles, doors, and other areas and items throughout the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Empty waste baskets and refuse cans into containers.</p> </li><li> <p>Pick up paper and cardboard, break down cartons if necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Sweep away debris on floors, aisles, tables, seats, etc before during and after events.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Operations Staff with the set up & teardown of events.</p> </li><li> <p>Check and restock paper and soap dispensers in restrooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Loosen and scrape dirt from floors and grease from floors as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide direction and assistance to guests when asked.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular and punctual attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Review work assignments with the Operations Shift Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Make recommendations and suggestions to better the department to the Operations Shift Supervisor or Director of Operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1-2+ years' of experience in housekeeping functions in a public assembly facility preferred but not required. </li><li>Ability to understand and consistently follow work rules, procedures and directions. </li><li>Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide). </li><li>Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal harmoniously with guests, employees and outside contractors. </li><li>Ability to operate mechanized equipment such as blowers, buffers and vacuums. </li><li>Ability to work independently and efficiently; exercise initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment and accept responsibility for own actions. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required. </li><li>Must be able to work in a fast past environment, with a sense of urgency. </li><li>Ability to maintain consistency and high-quality service dealing with high volume and back-to-back cleaning tasks. </li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and identifying areas that require special attention. </li><li>Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </li></ul> <p>Strengthened by our Differences.
