<p>What to Expect</p> <p>The Semi Quality Lab Team at Tesla is seeking a Materials Engineer with a strong background in material testing, analytical methods, and problem-solving methodologies. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to resolve challenges, improve manufacturability, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with design, production, reliability, and quality engineering to address issues and improve processes </li><li>Lead projects from concept through validation to implementation, emphasizing quality </li><li>Sustain products through cost reduction and yield improvements </li><li>Use structured problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, 8D, and Ishikawa </li><li>Analyze data to identify trends and enhance quality and efficiency </li><li>Monitor and reduce process variation using SPC and MSA techniques </li><li>Develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and work instructions for quality testing </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience </li><li>Minimum of 4 year of experience in Quality, Process Design, Process Improvement or Operations </li><li>Strong expertise in material testing, including mechanical/structural, chemical and dimensional testing </li><li>Proficiency in analytical tools: Keyence, SEM-EDS, Instron, Rheometer, FTIR, XRF, and others is preferred </li><li>Knowledge of statistical tools such as JMP or Minitab for data analysis </li><li>Experience with root cause analysis, MSA studies and implementing data-driven solutions </li><li>Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
