Eisenhower High School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>Immediately</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>When Position is Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Head Boys Wrestling Coach</p> <p>Position: Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach</p> <p>Reports To: Head Boys Wrestling Coach/Athletic Director</p> <p>Stipend Category: III(Asst. Wrestling Coach; see contract Appendix II for placement)</p> <p>Summary and Purpose: Support student-athlete development in wrestling and assisting the Eisenhower Athletic Department</p> <p>mission and vision statement.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>? Assist the head coach in teaching wrestling fundamentals, strategies, and sportsmanship.</p> <p>? Oversee competition level assigned by head coach</p> <p>? Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and related events.</p> <p>? Attend and actively participate in all scheduled practices, meets (home and away), and team functions.</p> <p>? Support the head coach in planning practices and conducting skill instruction.</p> <p>? Monitor and enforce all eligibility, safety, and conduct requirements as established by IHSA, the school, and district policies.</p> <p>? Chaperone and supervise athletes at all wrestling events (including practices, meets, community gatherings, etc.), maintaining</p> <p>discipline and promoting a positive team environment.</p> <p>? Maintain a safe environment and report injuries promptly to appropriate staff.</p> <p>? Complete required paperwork, attendance logs, and communicate with parents and administration as needed.</p> <p>? Attend coach meetings and required professional development as assigned by the athletic department.</p> <p>Additional Expectations:</p> <p>? Availability to work in the off season</p> <p>? Assist with equipment management, set-up, and breakdown for practices and meets</p> <p>? Attend community events (such as parades, fundraisers, etc.)</p> <p>? Foster academic achievement, positive citizenship, and school spirit among student-athletes.</p> <p>? Complete required first aid, CPR, and district coaching certifications as required by ISBE/IHSA and adhere to all training</p> <p>expectations.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>ISBE, ASEP, or NFHS certification required </li><li>Previous high school head wrestling coach experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits for External Applicants:</p> <p>Individuals hired from outside CHSD 218 as seasonal coaches or activity sponsors receive only</p> <p>the contractual stipend for the assignment. Board-provided employee benefits (including health,</p> <p>dental, life insurance, leave, and participation in district retirement plans) are not available to</p> <p>external hires in these roles. For benefit eligibility, an individual must be a contracted district</p> <p>employee.</p>
