<p>Basic information</p> <p>Job Name:</p> <p>Manager, Partnership Accounting - Reporting</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Washington, DC</p> <p>Line of Business:</p> <p>Finance</p> <p>Job Function:</p> <p>Investor Services</p> <p>Date:</p> <p>Tuesday, March 3, 2026</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of, and the primary point of contact for, an assigned group of funds. This position may also be responsible for assisting other teams with their fund responsibilities as deemed necessary.</p> <p>Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing and establishing goals/strategic direction for one senior accountant and/or one staff accountant, managing the relationships with third party administrators, if applicable, understanding the pipeline of fund activity, including upcoming purchase and sale transactions, and managing/coordinating the operations and reporting of such activity. This includes:</p> <ul> <li>Communicating the timing and details of capital calls/distributions. </li><li>Determining the treatment of transactions under US GAAP and coordinating relevant disclosures. </li><li>Preparing / reviewing portfolio analysis used in making carried interest decisions and working with other teams to ensure the timely recording of carried interest transactions. </li><li>Reviewing financial statements and other investor reporting to ensure proper reflection and allocation of activity. </li><li>Coordinate local jurisdiction books and records activity and review with third party administrators, if applicable, as well as support fund compliance with CIMA and Luxembourg AIF requirements </li></ul> <p>This position also manages the team relationship with key stakeholders, such as Fund Management, Corporate Accounting, the External Auditor, and Internal Audit. The Manager is a technical expert on various subject matters such as Investran and other data systems, Partnership Accounting/Fund Management operational policies and various fund accounting matters. The Manager will help set standards for the use, and lead the development of enhancements and improvements to, related processes and systems.</p> <p>This position supports the implementation of Investor Services-wide goals and initiatives, including system implementations and business process re-engineering efforts.</p> <p>In-Office Requirements: 4 days per week in-office</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Supervise the periodic investor reporting for an assigned group of funds:</p> <ul> <li>Review all annual and quarterly financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP, compliance requirements and other key reports. </li><li>Act as lead on investment transaction testing with external and internal auditors and relevant disclosures in the annual audit of the fund's financial statements. </li></ul> <p>Supervise various business operations for all relevant fund groups ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance of business activities (calls, distributions, carry calculations, etc.) with partnership agreements and regulatory authorities. </li><li>Ensure accurate accounting and allocation of fund activity and activities that impact firm books. </li><li>Determine the applicable treatment of distribution proceeds received by the Fund and review the distribution waterfall calculations. Additionally, preparing projected waterfall / carry amounts for the equity group in determining carry projections or clawback analysis. </li><li>Prepare analysis and provide performance metrics, as requested. </li><li>Monitor legal compliance with various fund agreements and arrangements. </li><li>Manage, monitor and report on debt facilities, ensuring funds are in compliance with debt obligations. </li><li>Manage and monitor fund working capital. </li><li>Respond promptly to investor requests. </li></ul> <p>Various tasks and initiatives:</p> <ul> <li>Set goals and provide performance feedback on a regular basis. </li><li>Seek efficiencies in business processes with third party administrators, if applicable. </li><li>Participate in initiatives that help the department and firm meet strategy and goals. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Certificates</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree, required </li><li>Accounting or Finance major, or relevant experience in financial services and/or fund administration combined with a major in another field, required </li><li>CPA strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Professional Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of relevant public accounting or private accounting experience, required. </li><li>Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships and to work effectively as part of a team </li><li>Ability to manage and develop employees </li><li>Ability to manage others and lead tasks independently </li><li>Strong interpersonal and team building skills </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Excellent communication skills - both written and oral </li><li>Ability to think critically and analyze financial data </li></ul> <p>Competencies & Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Review experience with, and working knowledge of, U.S. GAAP financial reporting related to partnership accounting a must </li><li>Experience with the alternative investment industry and its reporting compliance with AIFMD and CIMA </li><li>Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel functionality and formulas </li><li>Proficient knowledge and demonstrated use of data cubes using Microsoft Excel and on-line analytical processing (OLAP) </li><li>Experience with accounting software applications, such as Investran, OneStream and Workiva a plus </li><li>Ability to adapt using multiple software applications and compile reporting using data from multiple applications </li><li>Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking </li></ul> <p>Benefits/Compensation</p> <p>The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC, and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.</p> <p>The anticipated base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $$155,000.</p> <p>In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs.
