<p>We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Excel Instructor to deliver skills training for current workforce needs. This role focuses on equipping participants with practical Excel skills at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, tailored to workforce needs. The instructor will collaborate with the Skills Training team to design curriculum, deliver instruction, and assess learning outcomes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver engaging Excel training sessions (in-person, virtual, or hybrid). </li><li>Teach Excel fundamentals, data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, dashboards, automation (e.g., macros), and related topics. </li><li>Customize course materials to align with employer and industry-specific requirements. </li><li>Assess participant skill levels and track learning progress. </li><li>Provide coaching, technical assistance, and supplemental resources. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to align training with workforce development goals. </li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Excel-related inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data visualization, complex formulas, and macros. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in Excel training or corporate instruction. </li><li>Strong instructional design skills, with the ability to tailor training to different learning styles. </li><li>Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Experience working with adult learners and/or workforce development programs preferred. </li><li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Information Technology, or related field. </li><li>Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Access). </li><li>Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification in Excel or willingness to obtain. </li><li>Bilingual abilities are a plus depending on employer partner needs. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Training sessions are primarily conducted Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. </li><li>May involve travel to employer partner locations within the service area. </li><li>Some evening or weekend sessions may be required based on partner schedules. </li></ul> <p>Ivy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
