<p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Availability: Position Title: FWS Office of Education Abroad Student Assistant Requisition Number: 0406073711 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities:</p> <p>Education Abroad Student Assistants will work collaboratively in the Office of Education Abroad and Global Engagement responding to and cataloging general inquiries, maintaining digital records, preparing outreach materials for events, assisting in social media outreach and performing various administrative tasks. Education Abroad Student Assistants report directly to the Director of Education Abroad. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individual(s) who can work independently, but are also team players who enjoy an office environment. The ideal candidate for this position is a student who has an interest in global education or who may have previous study abroad experience, since you will be working on a small team with a focus on fielding inquiries from prospective Study Abroad students. Experience in office administration and customer service is a plus. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at The New School; students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. The New School recognizes and values the benefits of a diverse workforce.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Draft email response templates for commonly asked questions </li><li>Provide administrative support to Education Abroad staff </li><li>Assist with social media outreach and recruitment </li><li>Additional project-based tasks as needed </li></ul> <p>WORK MODE</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid </li></ul> <p>Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$16.50 per hour</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Customer service experience </li><li>Administrative experience, preferably in a higher education setting </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Understanding of the study abroad student experience and programming </li><li>Experience working independently and expediently with limited hands-on supervision </li><li>Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive </li><li>Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential applicant information </li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks with effective time management and prioritization </li><li>Availability to work 5-10 hours weekly </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Job Family: Office of the Provost Posting Date: 08/25/2025 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Yes</p>
