<p>Primary Responsibility</p> <p>The MIT ensures that operational policies and procedures are in compliance with company-specified technical and service standards. Shares accountability for all inspection station operations, including safety of staff and customers, equipment management, Equipment QA's, partial handling of financial transactions, traffic flow/queue management , staff management and public relations.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>These are not all-encompassing lists of duties and requirements; they are general guidelines. Additional duties and requirements are based on the needs of the station and district.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Standard Hours Requirement: 40 Hours; 5 Days a Week - Saturday Availability Required</p> </li><li> <p>Must have reliable transportation</p> </li><li> <p>Assists the Station Manager and Assist Station Manager in station operations</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between lane inspectors and management</p> </li><li> <p>Opens and closes the station as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Performs cash-outs and cash-drops according to established procedures and schedules</p> </li><li> <p>Performs general lane operations, including tag renewals, greeting motorists as they enter the inspection station, and provides general program information</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts employee training as necessary or serves as station mentor for incoming new hires</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates general facility maintenance, including janitorial upkeep</p> </li><li> <p>Provides assistance to other stations in their districts as needed, ensuring the success of the district and the network operations</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to learn and understand the function of selected emissions control devices</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently</p> </li><li> <p>Good communication skills, both written and verbal</p> </li><li> <p>Good time management and team-building skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population in a variety of situations</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and clean driving record</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to enter and exit customer vehicles and able to stoop, bend, and reach and lift 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work in extreme weather conditions</p> </li></ul>
