Description</p> <p>Banquet Captain Job Description</p> <p>Wage: DOE</p> <p>Shift: Part time. Hours vary based on events schedule. Monday-Saturday.</p> <p>Benefits: Free Membership for you and immediate family; 401(k); Employee Assistance Program; Financial Assistance Program; Thanksgiving Point venue discounts; and more!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure front and back of the house are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares Captain's Reports, detailing the function and comments of the client.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes, models, and maintains the highest level of customer service to all Thanksgiving Point guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and coordinate assignments for staff assigned to each event.</p> </li><li> <p>Greet client for event and stay in contact throughout the event.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with Catering Manager, Event Managers, and Director of Food and Beverage to ensure all event details are carried out.</p> </li><li> <p>Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum one-year experience as a server/supervisor in a high-volume restaurant or banquet facility preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lead a team to desired results, make quick and accurate decisions, and work with little or no supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical requirements include but are not limited to: standing for long periods of time, lifting and carry up to 50 pounds at a time, bending the knees, and manipulating small objects.</p> </li><li> <p>A current food handler's permit.</p> </li><li> <p>Be a problem solver and work effectively in a group.</p> </li><li> <p>Be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent hospitality skills, knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette are required.</p> </li><li> <p>Be at least 16 years old.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a background check.</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check in order to drive for work.</p> </li></ul> <p>EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
