<p>YOUR PROFILE</p> <p>Boralex is expanding their Real Estate Team in Illinois as the state has a strong mandate to increase their amount of non -emitting generation supply.</p> <p>YOUR CHALLENGE</p> <p>The new hire will be responsible for supporting the real estate team and growing the pipeline of new and existing Projects. This role includes:</p> <ul> <li>Creating strong and transparent relationships with various landowners and acting as a point of contact for any inquiries and/or concerns on an as needed basis. </li><li>Negotiating and Managing the acquisition of new lands for the purposes of project development. </li><li>Supporting team with landowner outreach, draft landowner mailouts, property research, contact information research, obtaining property records, and obtaining and registering title documents. </li><li>Maintaining land acquisition and issue status in internal tracking programs such as Pandell software (training available if needed). </li></ul> <p>YOUR QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Prior renewable energy project real estate knowledge an asset; - Minimum 3-years' experience. </li><li>Strong understanding of the real estate process of utility scale solar, battery storage, and/or wind projects- from inception (establishing contact with new landowners) to operation (ongoing communication and relationship management). </li><li>Highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated with respect to landowner contact and follow-up, and document review and management. </li><li>Ability to interpret and present the terms and conditions contained within all real estate documents such as an Option to Lease, Easements, and Option to Purchase agreements. </li><li>Strong communication skills and comfortable with public speaking/presenting (on occasion) </li><li>Ability to be a positive frontline representative of the Boralex when needed. </li><li>Ability to be simultaneously genuine, persuasive, insightful, and solution oriented in dealings with landowners when needed. </li><li>Ability to travel to Boralex project areas independently, permitted entry between Canada/USA, on an occasional basis. </li><li>Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office, Smart Sheets, Teams, Google Earth and/or Pandell </li><li>Demonstration of success </li><li>Must be a team player but also be self-motivated and work independently. </li></ul>
