<p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or at least 48 credits from an accredited college or university, Bachelor's Degree preferred </li><li>General knowledge of the academic needs of students grades PK-12; </li><li>Ability to provide academic support to students in grades in PK-12; </li><li>Tutoring or teaching experience preferred; </li><li>Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children in order to effectively problem solve </li><li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders </li><li>Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social-emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student. </li><li>Belief in the commitment to the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including the implementation of specific strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and/or English learners (EL). </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Tutor students who are ill, suspended, or expelled from school; </li><li>Contact and collaborate with teachers to coordinate the completion of missed work; </li><li>Tutor in areas in order to assist students with the completion of work; </li><li>Maintain records for reporting students' progress and attendance; </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment/Salary/Work Year:</p> <p>$35 per hour without a DESE license</p> <p>$45 per hour for those holding a valid DESE license</p> <p>Not to exceed 10 hours per week, per student and/or small group of students.
