<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Entry</p> <p>Job Location: Boston - Boston, MA</p> <p>Position Type: Part Time</p> <p>Education Level: Baccalaureate Degree</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Travel Percentage: None</p> <p>Job Category: Education</p> <p>Temporary - Assistant Director of Career Services</p> <p>Fisher College, a private four-year institution situated in the Back Bay district of Boston, is currently seeking to fill a temporary part-time position for an Assistant Director of Career Services. This assignment is expected to last approximately 90 days, with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2025. The position offers a flexible schedule of up to 25 hours per week.</p> <p>Primary Purpose of Position</p> <p>The Assistant Director works with co-director in all areas of career services responsibilities including events, job placements, internship support and graduate outcomes.</p> <p>Principle Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Teaching</p> <ul> <li>Teach one section of IS220 per semester (as needed) </li></ul> <p>Employer Relations</p> <ul> <li>Identify, develop, and maintain employer relationships in all industries and locales </li><li>Conduct outreach to targeted organizations, including cold-calling, company site visits, and networking among local organizations, businesses and Fisher alumni to support student internships and post-graduate employment </li><li>Promote the College and its students/graduates through participation in local, state, and regional organizations to develop employer relationships </li><li>Build relationships with external audiences and alumni to facilitate guest speakers, field trip sites, and mentors </li><li>Coordinate Job & Internship Fairs each year, on-campus recruitment activities, and other information sessions/ employer events that increases students' access to job-readiness skills. </li></ul> <p>Student Relations</p> <ul> <li>Meet with students and alumni to provide career counseling and other support across all College sites and via email and telephone or video meeting </li><li>Assist with resume writing, cover letter, and job search strategies and placements </li><li>Plan and run all career programming such as classroom visits, and workshops </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree minimum. Master's degree preferred </li><li>Experience building partnerships with businesses and agencies. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of student and career development. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in building collaborative relationships, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making. </li></ul> <p>In evaluating candidates for this position, the College may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform duties of position.</p> <p>As an equal opportunity/access employer and educator, Fisher College is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment.
