<p>Job Title: Facility Technician I</p> <p>First shift technician to drive forklift. M-F 7-3:30 Must have forklift experience.</p> <p>Day Shift - 18.00 - 20.00 an hour - DOE</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Facility Technician I performs hands-on operational duties in a facility environment, including drum pumping, dumping, tank farm activities, and offloading vans. The role requires physical labor, safety awareness, and attention to environmental and regulatory compliance. This position supports day-to-day facility operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and according to established procedures. Work is performed under supervision with a focus on safety, productivity, and cleanliness. This is a non-supervisory role with minimal travel required.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine operations including drum movement and opening, truck loading and unloading at the tank farm, filter press operations, and proper inventory storage in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations </li><li>Operate a forklift as needed and complete required daily safety checks prior to operation </li><li>Complete and submit required documentation related to material handling and waste tracking </li><li>Adhere to all Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>Maintain understanding of and compliance with area-specific permit standards </li><li>Meet or exceed daily production goals as established by management </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Zero to three years of relevant experience </li><li>Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training required </li><li>Forklift certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment </li><li>Proficient in the use of scanning and tracking applications related to pumping and dumping operations </li><li>Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures and complete related assessments </li><li>Strong physical coordination, manual dexterity, and stamina </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for up to four hours per shift </li><li>Frequent bending, climbing, reaching, and squatting </li><li>Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to climb on and off forklifts and vertical ladders </li><li>Must have corrected or uncorrected 20/20 vision with good depth perception </li><li>Ability to perform physical tasks such as push-ups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups </li><li>Good hand-eye coordination </li></ul> <p>Driving and Equipment Use</p> <ul> <li>Occasional driving of company vehicles and forklifts </li><li>Ability to safely operate automatic transmission vehicles </li></ul> <p>Vision and Hearing Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Near and far visual acuity, peripheral vision, and color perception required </li><li>Ability to hear verbal instructions, alarms, and other relevant sounds </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively via telephone </li><li>Web conferencing not required </li><li>No regular exposure to loud environments </li></ul> <p>Travel Requirement</p> <ul> <li>Less than ten percent </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>This position does not have supervisory responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Statement</p> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
