Ability to neatly tape, mud, and paint. </li><li>Repair damaged wood furniture and fixtures. </li><li>Install classroom fixtures; boards, storage bins, and display cases </li><li>Install or repair interior ceilings & floor coverings, </li><li>Repair various exterior roof surfaces and broken glass with basic skills in cutting and glazing. </li></ul> <p>Mechanical</p> <ul> <li>Install or repair mechanical fixtures: gear boxes, shafts, pumps, and fans. </li><li>Install or repair equipment used in housekeeping, kitchens, grounds, maintenance departments, and administrative offices. </li></ul> <p>General Duties</p> <ul> <li>Daily opening of campus buildings. </li><li>Perform housekeeping duties as needed in the divisions. </li><li>Clean all gutters and downspouts. </li><li>Assist with special events, set-up, visitor shuttle, and teardown. </li><li>Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the Schools discretion. </li></ul> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED and three years of experience directly related to the essential functions required. Experience in an educational facility is a plus. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude, ability to use shop mathematics and manual dexterity required. </li><li>Ability to apply quality and safety standards. </li><li>Ability to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment or machinery. </li><li>Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet. </li><li>High level of self-motivation and proven ability to work with little supervision </li></ul> <p>OTHER INFORMATION</p> <ul> <li>A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed. </li><li>Full-Time, twelve-month position with benefits. </li><li>Work involves moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes and chemical vapors, biohazards, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. </li><li>Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment. </li><li>Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. </li></ul>
