<p>The Mental Health Psychologist Program Manager position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Tennessee Valley Healthcare system, Mental Health Care Line. Provides management services, oversight of administrative and programmatic resources of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) and/or Behavioral Health and Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP), responsibilities for programs that deliver treatment and related services and interventions.</p> <p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.</p> <p>VA Careers - Psychologist: https://youtube.com/embed/77qHlLw9Xck</p> <p>Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional</p> <p>Duties include directing, administering, and managing all aspects of the program, including comprehensive planning, developing, and implementing programs, policies, and procedures; determining program needs; overseeing the type, quality and quantity of services provided; setting priorities; and establishing short and long-range program goals, initiatives, and direction.</p> <p>Coordinates programming with program managers from other programs, as well as in the Mental Health Care Line with responsibility to negotiate service agreements and other forms of collaboration.</p> <p>Duties with the clinical staff includes providing clinical consultation in utilizing evidence based therapeutic practices and clinical practice guideline; creating a work environment that acknowledges and respects widely divergent interests, points of views and discipline perspectives; and providing support, encouragement, and direction to all staff.</p> <p>Triages and assigns referrals for services in a systematic way and makes treatment recommendations. Monitors for the provision of services to be delivered in a manner that meets VA guidelines and standards.</p> <p>Implements ongoing program evaluation and outcome projects using data-driven quality assurance processes including establishing and monitoring team production and performance standards; implementing patient treatment outcome and satisfaction projects; overseeing the completion of evaluation reports.</p> <p>Establishes and modifies clinic scheduling profiles for all the staff.</p> <p>Establish and maintain therapeutic relationship and exercise professional judgment to provide treatment for Veterans and will provide at least 50% direct patient care.</p> <p>Provides leadership guidance and consultation to the staff. Involved in the training of students and interns. Facilitates continuing education training opportunities for staff members.</p> <p>Responsible for timely completion of all program evaluations and documents required by the Medical Center, VISN and VACO, ensuring compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies such as Joint Commission and CARF.</p> <p>Works cooperatively with research projects as requested and deemed appropriate by the Medical Center.</p> <p>Responsible for timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system, as appropriate.</p> <p>Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday</p> <p>EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).</p> <p>Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year).
