The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. The Registered Nurse-Hospital is expected to demonstrate excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills and make decisions consistent with hospital policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.</p> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.</p> <p>Minimum Required: Diploma or degree in nursing.</p> <p>Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's degree in nursing.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Minimum Required: None</p> <p>Preferred/Optional: Two years hospital nursing experience</p> <p>Those inpatient facilities participating in the Clinical Nurse Advancement Portfolio (CNAP) clinical ladder, refer to program documents for eligibility to advance/maintain CNAP level.</p> <p>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES</p> <p>The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.</p> <p>Minimum Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment. </li><li>Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location). </li></ul> <p>Preferred/Optional:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. </li></ul> <p>Infusion Clinic RN, insertion of IVs, PICC line and Mediport access, administration of IV medications, antibiotics, blood products and chemotherapy.
